HIV Treatment & Prevention Services

Working to end the HIV epidemic.

CPLC LUCES (Latinos Unidos Contra el Sida/ Latinos United Against AIDS) provides HIV prevention education and supportive services to people living with or at risk of HIV/AIDS to improve health outcomes, reduce health disparities, and address barriers to treatment.

Services include:

HIV Testing and Counseling

Free HIV finger stick testing is offered M-F 8-5pm at CPLC Maryvale Community Service Center and other locations in the community. HIV Home Test Kits are also offered free of cost in person or free mail delivery. For free HIV Testing, please contact (602) 341-0181.

Medical and Supportive Case Management

Providing or coordinating access to primary medical care, dental care, medication adherence, nutrition, home health care, legal services, transportation services, mental health care, substance abuse services, psychosocial support services, housing, emergency financial assistance, and food boxes.

Mental Health

Individual or group behavioral health interventions including Healthy Relationships, CLEAR, and Sin Buscar Excusas. Counseling services including Spanish-language support groups and individual counseling.

Substance Abuse

Treatment and counseling to address substance abuse issues including alcohol, prescription drug abuse, and illegal drug abuse.

Psychosocial Support

“Latinx Mix” and “Mujeres Poderosas” peer support groups in which individuals living with HIV obtain peer support from other HIV positive individuals and a behavioral health tech on a weekly basis in Spanish.

PREP AND PEP NAVIGATION

Coordinating access to primary medical care and medication for high-risk HIV negative individuals seeking prevention of HIV transmission. Mobile STD and HIV education, condom distribution, and community outreach. Referrals to patient assistance programs, legal services, mental health care, substance abuse services, and food boxes. PREP and HIV 340B Pharmacy Program

Pre-packaged mail order pharmacy program for HIV positive and high risk HIV negative individuals on medication for HIV, PrEP, and other medical diagnoses.
